Israel has already begun offering Pfizer booster vaccines to at-risk adults, and the United States is in talks with Pfizer to introduce these vaccines to the most vulnerable. Booster vaccines are additional doses of the vaccine that should provide increased protection against disease, as some vaccines may disappear over time. And the study showed that 95% of people who received both doses of Pfizer-BioNTech or Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID-19 had a weaker immune response to the delta variant than to previous strains.
